Brake Fluid Change

There is a lot of misunderstanding about the importance of changing your brake fluid.

Brake fluid is described as hydroscopic, meaning that it absorbs water over a period of time. Moisture is created from the heating/cooling effects of normal brake use, and also humidity from the atmosphere. This moisture causes rusting and pitting of internal parts, which leads to unnecessary replacement costs.

Under severe braking, excess moisture can cause the fluid to boil, this will give the brake pedal a ‘spongy’ feel and can lead to extended braking distances, significant reduction in brake performance or even brake failure.

Ricci concept recommends that you change your vehicles brake fluid every 2 years
